The Democratic Alliance continues its two-day federal council meeting and its expected to announce a new federal chairperson.
The four candidates that party members can choose from are Helen Zille, Athol Trollip, Mike Waters and Thomas Walters.
The party will also be discussing the organisation review panel report which recommends that DA leader Mmusi Maimane should vacate his position.
Maimane has said the report must be mulled over.
He added that only Congress has the power to pick and choose leaders.
“I think the report must be considered, the report must deal with all the aspects about what should happen in the future of the DA,” said Maimane.

Despite assuring that there won’t be load shedding on Sunday, Eskom said its power system remained constrained.
After four straight days of blackouts, the utility said load shedding could be implemented should there be any breakdown at its plants.
