Job Description

Forecasting process: To ensure that good forecasting methodology is maintained by information gathered from the Sales and Marketing team and relayed to Supply Chain / Manufacturing as well as CO-Packing teams. To also ensure that constant feedback is given to Sales and Marketing teams in relation to attainability of the required Forecast.

Back Order Management: Timely delivery of the correct inventory to the warehouse in SA and SECA Region by working closely with the Imports Coordinator / Manufacturing production planner and Outsourced Co-Packing facility.

Excess Stock Reduction and Manage Aging Inventory: To be achieved working closely with the Production Planner / Outsourced Co Packer / Warehouse manager / Financial Manager and Supply Chain manager.
Support Sales & Marketing Functions to analyze data and trends and make recommendations to highlight and take advantage of business opportunities.
Collation and analysis of IMS & Inventories from our Distributors and Subsidiaries.
Support Supply chain to measure and analyze service levels and highlight where improvements can be made.
Support Finance and Logistics to monitor, analyze and make recommendations for Working Capital Management, focusing on the balance sheet KPIs of Inventory levels (absolute value + days cover).
Input into Forecasts (shared responsibility with SECA Supply Chain, MEA Supply Chain and HQ Demand Planners), both stock and business forecasts… ensuring they match up.
Forecasting process: Measure if the Forecasting accuracy is improving using the MAPE calculation method.

Back Order: Timely delivery of the correct inventory to the warehouse in SA and Subsidiaries in Southern Africa to be measured by order fill rate improvement.
Excess Stock and Aging Inventory write of reduction to be achieved.
Construction of routine reports and analysis to be done.
Generate new ideas for tools & ways to analyze the business and the decision-making process simply and effectively.

Qualifications

Experience

3-5 years prior work-related experience in Marketing data analysis, Sales data analysis, Financial indicators, Production Demand management and Warehousing Demand management.

Professional Skills

Demand Planning: The candidate needs to have extensive experience in demand planning and forecasting with full proficiency in the use of Demand Forecasting Software for example ORACLE JDE MRP or similar.
Supply chain and Manufacturing: The candidate must have 2-5 years prior experience in supply chains and how they function as well as the manufacturing process in an FMCG environment.

Sales and Marketing: The candidate must have prior experience in sales data analysis and dealing with Sales and Marketing departments.
Inventory management: The candidate must have experience in managing inventory throughout the supply chain (Indent stock review / Planning / Production / Co-Packing / Finished Goods to End-user or Customer)
Education

• National Diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Marketing / Forecasting / Demand planning. • CPIM Certification or studying towards will be advantageous.

Computer Literacy -Experience in MS Word, Excel Advanced a must, Outlook & PowerPoint.
Prior experience in ORACLE JDE with MRP or similar demand planning software will be advantageous.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
