Job Title: Temporary Junior Debtors Clerk – 3 months

Reporting Line: Accounts associate
Starting date: 1 August 2019
Purpose the Job Exists:
Daily debtors’ functions
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Temp Junior Debtors Clerk will be assisting with:
Pastel
Opening and edit master accounts for customers
Issue and update customer invoices
Issue and update customer credit notes
Issue and update customer debit notes
Excel
Reconciling debtors’ invoices and income
Update excel sheet for sales invoices (3rd party event sponsorships)
Duties may also include, but are not limited to:
Filing
Assist customers with queries relating to banking detail, payments and different account numbers to be used for payment of invoices
Fortnightly phone calls to customers with outstanding balances; making and recording payment arrangements
Request banking detail for refunds, complete refund forms and get it signed off for payment
Perform administration related ad-hoc duties as and when required
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
Matric with general math or accounting skills
High attention to detail
Must be able to work towards deadlines
Excel and MS office skills – advantage
