
The health department said 146 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
Nine additional coronavirus-related deaths were reported.
The majority of new cases reported were from Gauteng with 44.
KwaZulu-Natal reported 38 cases and the Western Cape 24.
Just over 15,000 tests were conducted in the past day, with a 1.0 percent positivity rate.
#COVID19 UPDATE: A total of 14,477 tests were conducted in the last 24hrs, with 146 new cases, which represents a 1.0% positivity rate. A further 9 #COVID19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 88,934 to date.
