DDG has some major insecurities in his relationship with Halle Bailey and he’s being honest about all of them in his new song, “Famous.” The Michigan rapper released the track on Friday (July 14), which finds him pondering about what happens between his actor girlfriend and her on-screen love interests when the cameras are off.
“I been so insecure that I be thinkin’ you really be fuckin’ n-ggas you in movies with,” he raps. “But on the internet, I will just be coolin’ it, but in my head, a n-gga really losin’ it/ Gotta be payin’ good ’cause you keep doin’ it, I might just tweet somethin’ just to ruin it/ I got a platform, I’m abusin’ it.”
He continues: “It’s a couple of things about your job I wanna know/ When you shoot your movie, do these n-ggas turn you on?/ When you leave the set, do y’all still text each other phone?/ Just because they filmin’ it, it don’t mean that it ain’t wrong.”
The pair have certainly had their share of ups and downs. Back in February, DDG indicated there was trouble in paradise when he posted a since-deleted tweet that hinted something may be wrong in his relationship with the Little Mermaid star. The tweet read: “All these girls the same ain’t no way” along with a crying face emoji.
It didn’t take long for fans to notice DDG had wiped his Instagram clean of any photos with Bailey, as well as the fact that they were no longer following each other on the social media platform.
DDG seemingly re-followed the singer after going viral, and people believed he implied that Halle cheated, which her fans didn’t take too lightly.
“Ddg tweeting like we were gon stick beside him against THE Halle bailey like be fr,” someone wrote, while another said: “DDG will soon realize. This isn’t Rubi Rose he can just throw subs on Twitter and everyone will believe him and clown her. This is HALLE BAILEY we talking about. This isn’t a war he wants to go through on this app fr.”
While it seems like things are okay for now, Bailey has yet to respond to the new song. Some fans find it to be a diss because he uses the word “bitch,” but it’s unclear how she feels about it.
