Communities in uMkhanyakude District in Northern Kwazulu-Natal are calling for an intervention in the current state of policing in the area.
It is alleged some police officials are involved in cross-border criminal activities.
Syndicates are reportedly targeting top-of-the-range SUV models and Bakkies, and smuggling them into neighbouring countries.
Meanwhile, KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala inspected police stations in the area.
Zikalala says that they are dealing with the state of policing and police collusion with criminals.
