Western Cape pulling out all the stops ahead of COVID-19 peak

The Western Cape has recorded over 26,000 active COVID-19 cases and its hospitals are starting to fill up.

The province is now firmly in the grips of the third wave, driven by the Delta variant.

And it’s being predicted that the third wave could be as bad as the second.

With the peak expected at the end of July, authorities are pulling out all the stops to make sure the healthcare system will be able to cope with the increase in cases and hospital admissions.
