The Hawks says it expects to make arrests in connection with COVID-19 corruption.
The Hawks told Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts that the arrests are expected on Thursday in connection with PPE tender fraud.
It also wants to freeze about R26-million allegedly attained unlawfully.
Some 20 cases linked to COVID-19 fraud and corruption have been referred to the National Prosecuting Authority.
Meanwhile, disciplinary action has been recommended for officials in 12 cases.
