Only one person has succumbed to the virus over the past 24 to 48 hours.
And 1571 new cases have been recorded.
Gauteng still has most new cases with 533.
It’s followed by the Western Cape with 382 and KwaZulu-Natal with 313 new infections.
The country has over 20,000 active cases and the positivity rate is 5.8 percent.
People are urged to continue following precautionary measures.
