An exciting new opportunity has opened up at TOWER Cape Town. Tower is a privately owned South African company that develops and manufactures a broad range of branded self-adhesive products that makes consumers’ lives easier in businesses, homes, and schools. The brand dominates its chosen market categories in Southern Africa (eight countries) and is now turning its attention to growing its brand story around the world.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining and managing Syspro system.
Managing and review WIP and Inventory sub-ledger and General Ledger including the reconciliations.
Review actual costs for inaccuracies and variances.
Ensuring accurate feedback is given and that works orders are closed through the job closure module.
Investigate variances on works orders and ensure that corrective action is taken.
Create and maintain BOMs and stock codes.
Product costing for the marketing department.
Perform month-end rollover for WIP and Inventory on Syspro.
Inventory Management
Coordinate in conjunction with operations the monthly physical inventory counts.
Provide analysis and feedback on stock variances.
Monthly reconciliation of stock valuation and Inventory control accounts.
Syspro user training (stock transfers, adjustments and inventory reports)
Review accuracy of GRNs.
Production analysis
Create, maintain and review production reports according to the production performance measures.
Report on margins per product and per category.
Analyse changes in product design, manufacturing methods, raw materials or services to determine effect on costs.
Prepare estimates of new and proposed product costs.
Provide management with report specifying and comparing factors affecting selling prices and profitability of products.
Conducting impact studies around cost-sensitive items such as:
Highest cost drivers and impact on cost-effectiveness
Impact on the effectiveness of workflows and processes
Contribute towards improved cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
Relevant financial qualification/ Diploma or Degree
At least 1 – 3 years costing exposure in a manufacturing environment
Excellent in knowledge with general office software, Excel and Syspro
