The Social Security Agency (Sassa) says beneficiaries should avoid collecting their grants on the first day of payment.
This is aimed at preventing large gatherings at grant payment points like post offices.
“We will ensure we don’t have 100 people or more at the Post Office at a time. We will tighten security.”
