Coronavirus hits Zimbabwe #CoronavirusZim

A woman from Bulawayo who had travelled to South Africa for medical reasons has been placed under self-quarantine together with her family following revelations that her South African based doctor tested positive for Coronavirus.

Health and Child Care Minister Dr Obadiah Moyo said this today during a press conference to update the nation on the Coronavirus pandemic.

This comes amid revelations that a tourist who left the country on March 10 via South Africa also tested positive upon his return to his home country in the United Kingdom.

Government has since started contact tracing of all those who interfaced with the tourist in Victoria Falls.

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has released a list of sites where KwaZulu-Natal residents can be tested for the coronavirus if they suspect that they behave been infected or may have come into contact with someone who tested positive for the Covid-19 viral strain.
