He is taking all jobs – Somizi in hot soup after announcing his upcoming cooking show, Social Media drags him

It’s safe to say Somizi Mhlongo does it all. He is a choreographer, actor, dancer, Idols SA judge, presenter, radio DJ, reality TV star, and an all-round entertainer.
As much as people would like to celebrate the dynamic entertainer with a flamboyant personality, seeing the same faces on television seems to irk many people especially since there are so many other talented individuals who are ‘just as deserving.’
He recently announced that his cooking show that was supposed to be on his YouTube channel, has been picked up by 1Magic.
You fam been asking me to have my own cooking show…..well well well……thanks to u pic.twitter.com/9Pw5RkIPgJ

This news was received with mixed reactions and has created a heated debate on social media after so many cries to ‘open up the industry.’
Filming for his highly anticipated cooking show has started and he has been teasing fans with well-known celebrities who will be making guest appearances.
The Show is getting bigger some fake celebrities didn’t want to be part of it they wanted the show to be unsuccessful. I respect all Celebrities who came through for Somizi Dr. Rebecca Malope, Hon Ringo, Cassper, Vusi, Siya and many others 👏🏾🙏

Somgaga has not responded to the negative reception however he retweeted a few tweets from people who are defending him.
Here are some of the reactions:
Somizi is everywhere. And i bet @Luyanda_Maf is a better cook and is more deserving of opportunities like these. But lemme go back to my little corner before they say im a hater

Somizi would cook live for his insta followers, they loved it and begged for a show
The upcoming must learn pitch ideas to TV stations, Somizi did azange alale. Another thing id that TV stations are about viewership ratings, & we all know Somizi rakes them. So stop this negativity pic.twitter.com/eBJn81XQCG— Mchumane…uNozulu (@MissSteelo) June 30, 2020
Judging from Insta posts, Somizi’s cooking show is more than just about cooking. All the guests are people he knows personally. There’ll be conversations. Yes, your twitter chefs can cook but what else will they offer? 🤔 What stories can they share with bo Dr Rebecca or Ringo?

“They will watch anything as long as Somizi is on TV” – literally every South African TV producer. https://t.co/LDQQyiHl6Q

But also people like Luyanda or Neo haven’t been given the opportunity to be put on bigger platforms for people to love them. Even if Somizi would bring in the numbers.

I can’t believe Somizi is expected to give up his opportunities so they can be given to someone else. He is not a chef but he can cook, people are always asking for his recipes on IG. People are acting like they would give up their jobs for other people!
