Constitutional Court hears CR17 legal battle appeal

Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane is continuing her fight over President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s ANC campaign funding.

Mkhwebane is at the Constitutional Court applying for leave to appeal an earlier ruling which set aside her report into the matter.

She believes Rampahosa has a duty to disclose donations raised.

In March, the North Gauteng High Court disagreed and it set aside her report and her decision to investigate the CR17 campaign for money laundering.
