Our client a black-owned investor, developer and operator of projects in the resource and energy sectors from early-stage development through to operations has a position available for a COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER – Salary R18 000 per month + R500 cellphone allowance – Must be a resident of Prieska or Douglas – Contract position (for the duration of the 12-month project) – Start date will be as soon as possible
Requirements:
Grade 12 Certificate with good communication skills and report writing skills
Be able to communicate, Read and Write English and other local languages
Be reliable and accountable
Must have previous experience
Must be a resident of Prieska or Douglas and be well informed of the area
Must be able to communicate with contractors and sub-contractors
Should be prepared to work under difficult conditions
Should have skills on; Resolution, Report writing, strong interpersonal skills
Should not be a contractor
Should submit a certified South African ID book or new card.
Will need to submit proof of residence
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE
The primary role of the CLO is to ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of the projects by assisting the contractor in providing relevant labour (Skilled, semi-skilled, unskilled) the project.
GENERAL TASKS
To provide coordination between the contractor and the community
Write and submit accurate reports to the contractor, ward councillor and the region
Assist in the appointment of general workers guided by the region
Assisting in addressing issues raised by either stakeholder
