Senior Civil Technologist wanted urgently -Salary R400 000.00 – R1 000 000.00 Per Month.
Run various Transportation projects in the Richards Bay and North Coast areas.
Attend to design and / or site queries during construction phase.
Produce technical drawings.
Prepare tender documents including detailed specifications, General Conditions of Contract GCC) and schedules of quantities.
Supervise and implement site construction work as and when required, on a part-time or full-time basis.
Attend meetings and produce minutes.
Produce progress reports.
Management of and direct involvement in all technical aspects (including design, preparation of tender documents and all other aspects of project implementation).
Regular liaison and reporting to the Richards Bay office manager, and the KZN Transportation Business Unit Manager as and when required.
Compliance with the Quality Management System.
Business development.
Management of client relationships.
Management of projects including performance and profitability monitoring.
Preparation of requests for proposals, expressions of interest and panel applications.

Candidate Requirements
Only candidates with a BTech Eng (Civil) will be considered.
Registered with ECSA as a Pr Tech Eng.
At least 10 years’ post qualification experience, preferably at senior level in the consulting engineering industry.
Computer and design skills: MS Office; MS Projects; Civil 3D (beneficial) and AutoCAD.
Relevant design software experience e.g. one or more of road geometrics; water and sewer reticulation as well as some structural design capability.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and a participative management style.
Ability to work independently, but also as part of a very dynamic team.
Management of small teams, business development and preparation of project proposals in a transportation division / business unit.
Detailed design, preparation of tender documents, construction monitoring, contract administration and project management in a transportation division / business unit.
Financial cost management.
Construction management/site supervision
Project management experience.
Contract management experience.
Must have own vehicle and be prepared to travel to sites.
