
There’s no end in sight for City Power‘s troubles. The utility says it’s out of parts needed to repair 14 mini substations that were vandalised in Johannesburg.
It’s already replaced nearly 400 mini substations in the last year. This of course due to ongoing theft and vandalism.
Michael Sun, Joburg’s Environment and Infrastructure Services MMC, said they’re hopeful supplies will be delivered next week.
“City Power simply cannot keep up with the rate of vandalism and theft that is happening within our community,” Sun said.
