Human rights organisation #Africa4Palestine intends laying a complaint with the Judicial Service Commission against Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng.
It follows his remarks about Israel. The ANC has also expressed concern about the comments.
During a webinar hosted by the Jerusalem Post, Mogoeng allegedly expressed his support for the country.
Government and the ANC view Israel as an apartheid state. The party says Mogoeng is openly supporting Israel’s actions.
It’s calling on National Assembly Speaker, Thandi Modise, to hold high-level talks with the Chief Justice. Meanwhile, Mogoeng is refusing to comment on the issue.
