Chelsea Transfer News

With the January transfer window having officially opened, there are five players being heavily linked with a move to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea, while there are three players who could very well leave the club in the coming weeks. Despite sitting fourth in the Premier League standing, it has been a complicated first-half of the season for Lampard and his team, and especially in recent weeks.

The Blues have lost five times in their last nine league matches, winning just three games, leading many to believe the relatively inexperienced boss could look to re-strengthen his side when he gets a chance.

A report by Footmercato has linked the Stamford Bridge-based club with three exciting attacking players – Moussa Dembele, Wilfried Zaha and Jadon Sancho – perhaps due to their recent struggles in front of goal.

With striker Olivier Giroud appearing to be on the way out, Lampard might see Dembele as someone who could provide Tammy Abraham with competition for the No. 9 role. After starting the season brilliantly, the young English forward has struck just twice in his last eight league matches.
