Cardi B and Offset have finally introduced their 7-month-old baby boy to the world. Taking to her social media handle on Thursday, the WAP star dropped the first-ever picture of her newborn son and announced his unique name, Wave Set Cephus.
Using a bunch of emoticons of ‘WAVE SET CEPHUS,’ the I Like It crooner, 29, captioned the first social media photos of her son. In the adorable first pictures, Wave was seen wearing a blue puffy coat and a chunky diamond chain.
After introducing Wave to the world, the Up singer further revealed that Offset was the one who came up with the baby’s unique name.
“When Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME !” she wrote on Twitter alongside a video of a piece of jewellery that spelled out his name.
Back in September, the couple confirmed they had welcomed a baby boy, making Kulture Kiari Cephus, 3, a big sister. Offset is also a father to Jordan Cephus, 12, Kalea Marie Cephus, 7, and Kody Cephus, 7, from previous relationships.
I’m setting her up for a future,” she said. “I want to tell her that a lot of the s–t that I have done in life—no matter what I did, knowing that I wanted to have kids made me go harder to secure a good future for my kids.” To hear more from Cardi B and Offset, check out the May/June 2022 issue of Essence.
