JOB DESCRIPTION
The core of the Business Systems Analyst’s job will be gathering business requirements and managing delivery to business by solving support issues related to the LSNAV and LSCentral ERP systems that is used inside the VKB group.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting sciences
Experience in the effective use of ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central
Work experience in a financial position (Auditing or Accountant position with articles completed, SAICA or SAIPA).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Able to reconcile stock between multiple databases
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Take ownership of all tickets assigned to the NAV team
Evaluate tickets to determine if 1st line support in business should be involved or trained
Prioritise and manage many open tickets at one time
Identify and define business requirements
Provide system support to 1st line support as well as other system users
Delegate tickets to other team members when specialised help is needed
Keep users informed of the progress of tickets logged
Follow up with other team members about tickets delegated to them
Provide management with reports on volumes of tickets logged, type of problems experienced, etc.
Identify training needs in business and report to relevant managers
Identify recurring problems so that corrective action can be taken
Analysis and diagnoses of application errors
Testing of new software changes
Ensure that proper management approval is given when giving users access to the system
Maintain the security roles in the system as the system develops or new roles are created in business
Log support tickets with support partner if required and follow up on progress
Produce high-quality documentation of all processes
Comply with all VKB IT policies and principles
Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of at least 3 out of 5
Manage relationship with customers
Manage delivery of customer requirements by engaging with other team members and prioritising deliverables
Ensure that all tickets are handled timeously
SKILLS REQUIRED
Relational, to develop good professional and friendly relationships with clients and internal staff and represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
Industry based, Analytical skills that will be based on best practice scenarios that will need to be proven on a case by case instance.
Attention to detail, the candidate will have to be extremely accurate on setups for different sights.
Problem-solving, the candidate must be able to “think out of the box” but keeping in mind the risks associated with that.
