KwaZulu-Natal: At 15H20 Thursday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting on Columbine Place in Glen Anil, North of Durban.
Reports indicate that an armed robbery had taken place at a business premises.
During an exchange of gunfire between staff and the armed robbers, an adult male employee had been shot through his leg.
The patient was found to have sustained a serious injury and was treated on the scene by emergency care practitioners.
Once stabilized, the patient was flown by Netcare 911 helicopter to a specialist trauma facility for the care he required.
All relevant authorities were on the scene.
