Company based in Sandton has a vacancy available for a Business Intelligence Analyst. The candidate will be responsible for business analysis in the complete life cycle of a BI application. The candidate must have a working knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL and Data Warehousing with an understanding of IT and project methodologies, UML and formal BI methodologies.
Responsibilities:
Working with end users to define business requirements and needs
Produce detailed written business and technical specifications
Data definitions, analysis and mining
Defining, reporting on or otherwise developing new structures
Knowledgeable about data storage structures, and about the various ways that data can be applied to aid in business intelligence
Creating and maintaining data dictionary
System testing of BI requirements
Improving and streamlining processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value
Assuring that the promised benefits of BI projects are achieved
General trouble shooting of production problems
Candidate Requirements
Education, Experience & specialist knowledge required (core competencies):
BSC or equivalent degree
Experience in the Finance industry
It is imperative that the candidate have knowledge and experience in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SQL and Data Warehousing
Understanding of IT and project methodologies
Knowledge of UML and formal BI methodologies
Owning a project from end to end
