Bryan Habana and his son like matching their outfits and we love it!

Few things warm the cockles quite like a dad and his little boy wearing matching outfits. Former Springbok star Bryan Habana (35) and his eldest, Timothy (4), enjoy wearing the same ensembles on Mondays. When Timothy was born, not only was he the first, he was also the first boy – and he looks just like his daddy,” explains Bryan’s wife, Janine, about the family’s #MatchingMonday tradition.

“And I’m basically a professional shopper,” she laughs. “I love shopping! I know my husband’s taste and in Europe they have such a large variety. So when I spot a kiddies’ outfit similar to something Daddy [Bryan] owns, I buy it. They make the cutest ‘grown-up’ clothes for kids these days.

Janine says they started the tradition for no other reason than she finds it cute and fun.

“I’m not sure who enjoys it most because Timmy is his dad’s mini-me,” she says about the relationship between her eldest and his dad, who announced his retirement from rugby in April after five seasons at the French rugby club Toulon. Bryan tries to do it every Monday when he’s at home – he travels a lot.”

She says Adidas, one of Bryan’s sponsors, have also joined in the fun Habana habit. They’ve now also started including their youngest, nine-month-old Gabriel.

Janine says the men in her household enjoy the dressing up. “Timmy likes dressing up, especially when it’s something like Minion onesies. He also loves the pics,” Janine says.
