A Grade 10 pupil at Geluksdal Secondary School in Brakpan has been stabbed to death after a fight at school. It’s alleged the stabbing occurred after a group of boys pepper-sprayed some pupils.
A confrontation then erupted when another group tried to reprimand them. Gauteng Education spokesperson, Steve Mabona says that the perpetrator is not a learner of the school. Mabona said, “the perpetrator we understand that he has been taken to hospital.”
“We understand that it is not even a learner that stabbed that other learner after there was a consultation earlier in the day in the school yesterday [Thursday]. Those that were acting ill-disciplined they then went to get adults that are not even learners…. they were pepper spraying.. some of the learners didn’t take kindly to that.
