EFF’s Julius Malema has posted an ominous picture on Twitter with a threatening caption “Oppad”. The EFF is planning a huge protest outside the Brackenfell High School as racial tensions reach an all-time high.

EFF leader Julius Malema has posted an ominous tweet ahead of the scheduled Brackenfell protests for Friday.

It will be a tense situation as political and interest groups gather at the school which has become the epicentre of a racial disaster sparked by a dance.

Western Cape education MEC Debbie Schäfer has confirmed that she will meet EFF officials on the night before the planned protests outside Brackenfell High School.

Attempts are being made to mitigate the effect of the protests on the learners.

All grade 8 to 11 exams will be rescheduled but the school will remain open and classes for learners will continue,” she said. “I call on Brackenfell residents not to gather at the school with a view to engaging in altercations. Any action that would escalate tensions further will make it harder for law enforcement authorities to do their jobs. Please do not take the law into your own hands,” Schäfer said according to The Sowetan Live.

She said that the school was determined to address the concerns that black parents and pupils have. Here is the tweet which Malema posted, a picture of a man who appears to be Malema walking through the veld with a firearm on his back. He simply captioned the pic with the word: “Oppad.”
