We are looking for a senior, reliable bookkeeper to join our accountancy team. The right applicant will have experience in large accounting data environments. The applicant will be performing bookkeeping and accounting tasks in a complex large transactional environment.

Requirements:

Must have Bookkeeping Diploma or higher education in Accounting
Must be fully proficient both in verbal and written communications in English & Afrikaans
Min 5-yrs Bookkeeping experience preferably in large data environment with written accounting processes
Must have experience in large data reconciliation environments
Extensive experience dealing with business customers in relation to accounting queries
Knowledge of ERP systems
Accurate and meticulous with figures
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
Able to work under pressure
Must have own transport
Able to work occasionally over weekends or after hours for month-ends etc.
Constantly striving for continuous improvement and efficiencies
Able to mentor junior clerks and help where necessary
Able to follow the process and suggest improvements
Open, honest and reliable person

Advantages:

Has worked with ERP systems (Syspro, JD Edwards, SAP, People Soft or similar)
Has worked through an ERP implementation
Has experience with accounting written processes and procedures
Experience with Google Sheets
