Good news travels fast and bad news even faster but we are glad that Bongani Zungu is trending at number 3 in the country for all the right reasons. Instead of bringing the country drama, the young man has brought nothing but pride and admiration.
In a Tweet, last night, Rangers F.C, a Scottish professional football club based in Glasgow, which plays in the Scottish Premiership confirmed his signing at 11 PM in the evening.
At the beginning of this year, the midfielder was signed by Spanish football club RCD Mallorca. The move catapulted Bongani to playing in the top flight of Spanish football alongside some of the best footballers in the world. The 27-year-old plays for the Bafana Bafana national team and was recently in the top French league for Amiens SC but has been in Mzansi since the coronavirus pandemic. This signing with Rangers Football Club comes after he was released from the French club.
The soccer player isn’t new to being in the spotlight, a few years ago Social Media went on a meltdown after a video of him naked in a bathroom was leaked on online. In the video, Bongani is seen licking his lips seductively, while another clip shows him fondling his genitalia.
Another scandal the soccer player is known for is his run-in with the law after failing to paay his house bond, which almost resulted in his home being repossessed. According to court papers, Zungu was also avoiding the court’s calls. The bank’s lawyers were quoted as saying,
“The plaintiff placed 36 telephone calls to the defendant to discuss bringing the defendant’s arrears under the loan agreement to date. The plaintiff’s attorneys attempted to reach a payment arrangement with the defendant on four separate occasions.”
Whilst he may have missed payments, Bongani did explain that his debit orders bounced because he had moved to France and was forced to change banks, he later settled the whole outstanding debt cash.
Bongani is currently dating Blood & Water actress, Cindy Mahlangu, the two have been suspected to be an item for a while after they were looking all loved up on their Instagram Stories until they recently made it official. They are head over heels in love and their latest video confirms it, the couple is seen looking smitten as the Bafana Bafana star is grabbing Cindy’s neck to kiss her on her cheek.
This is another major move in Bongani’s career as he will be entering his sixth season in Europe, since leaving Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. We wish you many more season champ and congratulations
