Boity Thulo has a special message for young girls

Pupils at a Soweto school had the surprise of their life when Boity Thulo paid them a visit. The TV presenter stopped by Morris Isaacson High School to pick one lucky learner who will win a dress for her Grade 12 Matric Dance. Before revealing the winner, the Wuz Dat rapper shared some words of wisdom with her adoring fans. One of her biggest messages of the day was one we have heard for decades but needed to be repeated – stay in school kids!

“I want to encourage you to surround yourself with friends and peers that will have a positive impact on your life: not those who will tell you to bunk school or get involved in the wrong things. At the end of the day, a good education is going to be one of the things that drives you forward in life,” she said. The 29-year-old shared her own story of success. She encouraged them to follow their dreams no matter what people say. Boity started out as a presenter and then become a successful rapper and entrepreneur.

She launched her own pharmaceutical company, Human Limitless, in 2017 and is 100% owning her throne. Boity Thulo also stressed the importance of “sisterhood” and encouraged the girls to support each other.

The school’s head of department (Life Orientation), Mrs Annamalay, praised Boity for being a role model to young girls, especially those who have big dreams and goals.

She is a testament that nothing is impossible – the sky is the limit. Boity has visited several other schools on her tour with Impulse fragrances. The Impulse Roadshow kicked off in August and Boity has been spreading her message of positivity ever since.
