TV personality Boity Thulo recently shared on her Twitter account that a young man she has been helping out financially has revealed to her that he used the money on drugs.

She took to Twitter to asks her fans for advice, According to her,she doesnt know wether to continue helping him or not.

– he apologized and said he is ready to confess that he has been using most of the money to buy drugs and that he is begging for my help to take him to rehab. I am so gutted and conflicted. Haai eh eh. Dunno why I’m sharing this but yeah. I’m very sad. What do I do?

“I have encountered so many people that I have been blessed to assist and they mostly leave me feeling humbled and grateful. But at times, I am left feeling helpless. I have been financially helping a young man from Alex for the past year and today he just called me to apologize”, she wrote.

“He apologized and said he is ready to confess that he has been using most of the money to buy drugs and that he is begging for my help to take him to rehab. I am so gutted and conflicted. Haai eh eh”, she added.

Boity then asked her followers what she should do.

“Dunno why I’m sharing this but yeah. I’m very sad. What do I do?”

Damn. That’s terrible. If you have the means, help him again.

I say Go help him again Boity. For the fact that he runs back to you again and apologise means that he really values your help, he is in drugs he needs you this time more than ever before. You might feel that you’ve been used, but trust me it’s all worth it at the end.

Please protect yourself. Learn as much you can about drug addiction. Addicts are notorius liers and they play on your emotions. Don’t get involved. Give him as much information as you can about government/free rehab centres, contact SANCA. It’s up to him, not your responsibility
