Woman’s body parts found scattered

A woman’s body parts were found scattered in Germiston, Ekurhuleni.

According Ekurhuleni district acting communication officer Warren Officer Jacob Mashile, an officer received a complaint about human body parts inside a black plastic bag on Tuesday, 6 June.

He said when the officer arrived at the scene, he found a recycler who told him that she saw the body parts inside the plastic bag.

He said: “She showed him the plastic which contained two legs with no blood stains around it. At about 11 am, while members were busy with the statement, they received another complaint of body parts at the corner of Park and High Road. On their arrival, they found the thigh inside the black plastic bag.

“At about 4.30 pm, the members received a call that they found more body parts at Keswick Road, behind the Transnet building. On arrival the members found the upper body stomach, hands, and head inside the black plastic,” he said.

He said cops have noticed that there was no blood stain on the scene, which might indicate that the body was cut up somewhere and dumped at various places.

Mashile said the dog search was not done due to the movement of shoppers in the Germiston CBD.

He said later in the evening, cops went to trace the suspect at Stanley Court at the corner Knox and Meyer streets with assistance from the victim’s family.

“The suspect was found in the flat in Germiston and he confirmed that he was with the deceased on Saturday night, 3 June, at a bar after that they went to the flat to sleep.

“He alleged that in the morning when he woke up, the lady was not there in the room,” he said.

Mashile said the suspect was arrested and charged with murder and the matter is under investigation.

He said they appealed to anyone with the information to call CrimeStop on 10111.
