SACP General Secretary Blade Nzimande is defending Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan.
He said detractors should not use Gordhan as a scapegoat in their battles.
Some ANC members have criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to include Gordhan in his cabinet, but Nzimande says the Communist Party is happy with the president’s decision.
“We have already said as the SACP that we welcome the cabinet including the appointment of Minister Gordhan.”
“They mustn’t use him as a scapegoat. We don’t see anything wrong done by the president.”
