PHOTOS: Mzansi celebrities look stunning on the black carpet at Roast of Khanyi Mbau

Mzansi celebrities looked dazzling while walking the black carpet at the Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau on Thursday, 21 July.

The long-awaited show was filmed and the likes of Donald, Ayanda MVP, DJ Zinhle, Busiswa, K Naomi, Tshepi Vundla, and Zanele Potelwa were in attendance at Montecasino. And Khanyi’s siblings Lasizwe Dambuza, Lungile Mchunu, Chantelle Mchunu and Mbali Mchunu were also present.

On the panel of roasters were media personalities Celeste Ntuli, SelBeyonce Mkhize, Tbo Touch, YoungstaCPT, Devi Sankaree Govender, Mpho Popps, Sello Maake ka Ncube, Nadia Nakai, John Vlismas and Sol Phenduka.

Khanyi, wearing a glittery dress, told the publication that she didn’t prepare any lines for the roast.

“When you go to a fight, you can’t prepare. You must just take out your earrings, keep your wig at home and go. I’ll just be rolling with the punches,” she said.

“People should watch the roast because I am the first African woman to be roasted. It’s an AllAfrican roast. It will be funny and of course, it’s led by the OG, who else but me?” she added.

Ukhozi FM presenter Selbeyonce said Khanyi was not her target.

“I’m not going to dwell on Khanyi too much. I’m going to be taking jabs at other panellists. I know she’s going to be firing at me though, but it’s fine,” he said.

Sol said: “People should expect a lot of laughter and chilled vibes. Nothing is off-limits and it will be unfiltered.”

The Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau will air on both Showmax and Comedy Central Africa in July and August, respectively.
