Police Minister, Bheki Cele, is expected to visit Sophiatown Police station to be briefed on the situation.
Thirteen people have been shot over the last four days.
The recent violence erupted after an alleged gang kingpin was killed last week.
Residents are hoping the police will find a way this time to arrest the spiraling violence.
