Gauteng: At 10H12 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of burns at a residence in Wilgeheuwel in the West of Johannesburg.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 75-year-old female was found in her garden with burns to most of her body.
The patient who was in a critical condition was treated on the scene by an Advanced life support paramedic.
Due to the nature of her injuries, the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter Air Ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to a specialist hospital for the treatment she required.
Circumstances leading up to the incident are not known.
