Bafana Bafana’s first 11 vs Ghana

Bafana Bafana will lock horns with Ghana for their first warm-up friendly encounter ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations on Saturday afternoon.’

The match is scheduled to begin at 15h30 (South African time)

South Africa’s last competitive match under head coach Baxter was the last group game of the AFCON qualifiers against Libya, which sealed ticket place in Egypt following a 2-1 victory in March thanks to a brace by Percy Tau.

Coach Kwesi Appiah will be looking for an improved showing at the tournament after the Black Stars were knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual winners Cameroon in the last edition of the continental showpiece.

The Black Stars’ last competitive outing was a 1-0 victory over Kenya in their last Africa Cup Of Nations Group F Qualifier match in March, which saw them top the pool and rubber-stamp qualification with 12 points.

Baxter will use two separate teams for the encounter this afternoon.

Team 1: Darren Keet, Thamsanqa Mkhize, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Buhle Mkwhanazi, Sfiso Hlanti, Dean Furman, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Thulani Serero, Thembinkosi Lorch, Percy Tau, Lebo Mothiba.

Team 2: Ronwen Williams, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Innocent Maela, Daniel Cardoso, Hlompho Kekana, Tiyani Mabunda, Bongani Zungu, Sbusiso Vilakazi, Themba Zwane, Lebo Maboe, Lars Veldwijk.

Ghana XI: Ofori, Yiadom, Lumor, Kasim, Boye, Partey, K. Asamoah, Agyapong, A. Ayew, J. Aye , Atsu.b
