Requirements

BA social sciences and or humanities and any other relevant qualification

Duties

Collection and update of tourism supply data. Manage and supervise tourism supply field workers. Production of the GAP analysis report. Assist in the undertaking of tourism demand research. Assist in undertaking all activities and achievement of outputs as determined in the annual business plan. disseminate the findings of the study. Assist in the management of consultants appointed to conduct the tourism and Investment (economic modelling of the contribution of tourism towards the Gross Domestic per region and job creation research). Undertake all activities and achieve outputs as determined in the annual business plan. Assist in the collection and analysis of tourism statistics form SA Tourism, Stats SA and other relevant organisations or sources to inform the branding and marketing strategy for the two projects. Strategic planning meetings and reports. Programme management meetings. Quarterly reports. Monthly reports. Weekly reports.

Personal work planning and performance evaluation. Participation in recruitment for vacant posts. Personal human resource development. Participate in budget meetings and reports. Assist in the preparation of the sub-programme budget. Assist DD with cash flow projections and expenditure reporting. The ASD is expected to carry out his/her own basic admin and provide admin support in the directorate; this includes, filling and document management (e.g registering documents on the system) minute taking, organizing tea, transport, meetings, etc to ensure the efficient running of the sub-directorate. Handle own procurement, assist with tender specifications and tender adjudication.
