Cici Speaks Out on Arthur Mafokate’s court ruling – My fight will continue until the truth is brought to light
Singer CiCi is not giving up even though the courts acquitted Arthur Mafokate of assault charges.
Earlier today news broke that the “king of kwaito” was cleared yesterday by the Midrand Magistrate’s Court of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm charges laid against him by his ex, CiCi, real name Busisiwe “CiCi” Thwala.
CiCi has responded through her lawyers that she will file a civil suit against Arthur.
“I place on record that I will seek redress in alternative avenues, as the dismissal prevents the accused’s version from being placed before court and the public. My legal team is accordingly instructed to proceed with civil suit herein.”
She continues, “my fight will continue until the truth is brought to light-procedure should not prevent the truth from being heard.
In March 2017, CiCi claimed Mafokate dragged her on the streets and that she had to undergo a pelvic replacement procedure as a result.
A dispute that she claims occurred when she tried to end her romantic relationship with the kwaito star.
She reportedly claimed Mafokate got angry, took her phone and got into his car.
She then grabbed the driver’s door handle and Mafokate drove for a distance of about 300m, dragging her along.
Nakeng Attorneys released a statement that confirmed that Arthur has been acquitted of assault charges laid against him.
