South Africans have reacted to the news of Kwaito musician, Arthur Mafokate, being found innocent of assault.
Many people feel that the justice system has failed yet another woman. Others are saying everyone owes Arthur an apology.
SA musician, Arthur Mafokate was acquitted of all assault charges brought against him by his former girlfriend, Busisiwe “Cici” Thwala at the Midrand magistrates court on Tuesday.
The Kwaito muso’s lawyer, Daniel Nakeng, confirmed the news to TshisaLive. “We can confirm that our client, Arthur Mafokate was yesterday acquitted of the assault charges against him at the Midrand magistrates court.”
This news has been received with a mixed response by South Africans.
While many people are upset that Cici apparently lied, others feel the justice system has disappointed and Arthur shouldn’t have been found innocent.
Some people even said they’d not go to the police and sort out the matter themselves.

@asiithi .. I always stay away from Celebrity news and all but next time i see arthur Mafokate I’m spitting on his face. Cici cant have kids now coz of the damage he caused.
As of yet, there is no reported response from Cici, she did say she forgives Arthur. Briefly.co.za reported that the singer made the decision to forgive her ex-lover for his abuse and for running her name down in the media with untrue statements.
