DA gifts ANC with orange overalls & handcuffs

DA leaders yesterday visited enemy turf with gifts.

However, they were not ordinary presents – they brought orange overalls and handcuffs to Luthuli House, the ANC headquarters in Joburg.

Despite the IEC ruling that none of the people on the ANC parliamentary list had been convicted of a crime, the DA submitted a list of objections to candidates at Luthuli House’s door.

Some of the names they objected to were minister of women in the presidency Bathabile Dlamini, deputy president David Mabuza, President Cyril Ramaphosa and former home affairs minister Malusi Gigaba.

ANC spokesman Dakota Legoete said the party had told members not to engage with the DA but accused the opposition party of using dirty tricks to campaign.

Legoete accused the DA of marching to Luthuli House to seek attention.

“It’s has become clear that the DA has run out of ideas. They don’t have an alternative for the future of South Africans,” he said. “They are imploding. Patricia de Lille is gone and Mmusi Maimane is justa stooge.”

DA candidate for premier of Gauteng, Solly Msimanga, said although the IEC had said no one had been convicted of a crime, he didn’t think the ANC was serious about a new dawn.

“We are saying there are people who can never be honourable,” he said.

Msimanga said the DA had launched a website where people could object to ANC candidates.

“Weare here today because have bought them uniforms so they won’t have to use taxpayers’ money any more. Prison is where they deserve to go, not parliament,” he said.
