ANC MP Bongani Bongo on a quest to prove his innocence

ANC MP Bongani Bongo says he is willing to cooperate with the law to prove his innocence. Bongo, who is the chairperson of Parliament’s Home Affairs committee, was arrested on corruption charges last week. It is alleged he tried to bribe an evidence leader in Parliament’s inquiry into Eskom.

I have cooperated with the process and I have appeared,” Bongo said. I am looking forward and assure the nation I will go to the court and prove my innocence.

“Whatever outcomes of the court will be binding to me and my conscience. Bongo was released on R5,000 bail and is expected to return to court in January.

DJ Black Coffee has opened up about the abuse he has received online after news that he is getting divorced from actress Enhle Mbali. The hitmaker sat down for an interview on YFM this week, and touched on his struggle to separate his on stage persona from his personal life. He said the public often saw it as one thing and trolled him.

It’s got to a point where I feel that sometimes it is trolling. I look at some tweets that come to me and I feel like if I had tweeted that to someone else, I would be cancelled,” he said. He said the bullying has been especially brutal since news broke that he is getting divorced from Enhle. He said a lot of it stemmed from people feeling entitled and being disrespectful. Read more
