David Mabuza urges youth to move ANC forward

Deputy ANC President David Mabuza says the ANC is relying on the youth to take the movement forward.

He was addressing young people at a wreath-laying ceremony for the late ANC struggle icon Peter Mokaba.

Mabuza says the Youth League must be rebuilt.

“Go and build the structures of the ANC Youth League. That is the commitment that we are making here,” he said.

“That from here we’ll go and build those structures and the commitment again that we’re making is that, in those meetings, in those branch meetings, in those conferences, no one should die. No fighting in those meetings.

“Young people can’t do that. Young people can’t kill each other. You’ve got a bigger role to play in this movement. We rely on you. We rely on your energy. We rely on your wisdom and to take the struggle forward at a much faster pace.”
