
The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has extended embattled eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede’s leave of absence. This follows the party’s Provincial Executive Committee‘s two-day meeting.
Gumede was placed on leave following her fraud and corruption charges relating to the awarding of a rand waste tender to the value of R208-million.
She is out on R50,000 bail.
