AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini says the ongoing violence and looting has brought shame to the Zulu nation.
Factories, malls, and warehouses have been looted and destroyed.
“This chaos is destroying the economy, and it is the poor who will suffer the most,” the King said.
Trucks and vehicles and have also been torched.
At least 72 people have died in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng as a result.
The King has condemned the violence and appealed for calm.
