Her skincare line ‘MD by Minnie Dlamini’, has been praised for its luxury branding and affordable price point.

Nandi Madida
Nandi Madida turned her love for clothing into a critically acclaimed fashion brand. She launched ‘COLOUR in YEAR’ and the line has received praised from fashion critics around the world. The line made its New York Fashion Week debut last year.
At my 30th birthday party Minnie Dlamini reminded me that when I was 14 [or] 15 I was selling T-shirts. And she also reminded that I said I’d showcase at New York Fashion Week,” she said about making her dream a reality.

The idea for ‘Lalla Hirayama’ came from her personal struggle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). “When I was first diagnosed I felt like I’d been handed a death sentence – I was told that it would be difficult for me to fall pregnant and that I could have a heart attack,” she told the Sunday Times in an interview.
“I struggled with the crazy symptoms of the disease. I refused to become a victim or stay at the mercy of drugs that have a negative effect on my body… For all of you experiencing PCOS, you are not alone even though you feel like it. You can take control, you can fall pregnant, you don’t have to live with the pain of this disease,” she wrote on Instagram.
DJ Zinhle
DJ Zinhle’s affordable watch and bracelet range, ‘ERA’, remains popular with her fans six years after it launched.
“I wanted to create more than just a product with my name on it, I wanted to create something special, something that will inspire people to be the best they can be, that is why I have been involved in the whole process,” Zinhle said about her range.
Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala
Former Miss South Africa Bokang Montjane and her husband Siphiwe Tshabalala started their own kiddies clothing line in 2017. Their line, SB Kids, was inspired by their son Owethu.

The clothing line has a boys’ range called Super Shabba and a girls’ range called Princess Bokang. SB Kids is now stocked in Edgars and Jet fashion stores.
