KwaZulu-Natal: At 11H47 Thursday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting on Buttery Road in Umgeni Park, Durban.
Reports indicate that an adult male, believed to be a meter reader, had been shot while walking back to his car.
When medics arrived on the scene, they found that the patient had sustained serious injuries and was given first-aid by members of the Marshall Security Special Operations Team.
The patient was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 emergency care practitioner and once stabilized was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further care.
The circumstances leading up to the man being shot will be investigated by the SAPS who were on the scene.
