All the details on #KFCCouple’s New Year’s Eve wedding

The now-famous KFC Couple will be married on New Year’s Eve and with all due respect to every celebrity in Mzansi, their wedding is the most highly-anticipated ceremony of the year! When Hector Mkansi went down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life, Nonhlanhla Soldaat, we don’t think he could have possibly imagined how things were going to pan out. His marriage proposal, which took place in a KFC restaurant, was captured on video and within hours had gone viral. Exciting as this was, it was not the end of their growing popularity.

Inspired by their love story, some of the biggest brands in South Africa took a moment to pledge their support in order to make the wedding a reality. Before we knew it, their entire wedding had been sponsored by brands such as Coca Cola, Kulula, Sun City Resort, Siwela Wines, Castle Lite, Audi, Tsogo Sun, Puma and Huawei.

This week, we received word for the first time that the couple’s wedding date had been confirmed. They will be tying the knot on the 31st of December 2019 and we expect a massive guest list for their big day.
