ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT Urgently Needed: Salary R12 000 to R15 000 Per Month

Employer: West Coast Personnel

Established Company seeks an Accounts Assistant to provide support to the finance team to ensure funds are received in on time and paid out on time in line with approved trading terms as well as support with other administrative functions in the finance department

Debtors

-ensure customer invoices have been raised in line with approved trading terms and internal procedures

-ensure customer invoices are paid on time in line with approved credit terms

-ensure allocation of customer payments are done timeously and accurately against payment reconciliations received from customers

-send customer statements out monthly

-monitor credit terms and bad debt provisions

-deal with credit insurance to ensure bad debt in line with required reporting terms

-open new customer credit accounts in line with internal procedures

-work closely with the finance team and other departments to achieve low DSO

-maintain good working relationships with customers

Creditors

-ensure required purchasing procedures have been adhered to

-ensure supplier invoices have been allocated correctly

-monitor GRNI account to keep as clean as possible

-work closely with affiliated companies to ensure overall group reporting matches internal ledgers

-ensure payments are planned in advance and paid on time as per agreed trading terms

-prepare creditor reconciliations monthly after closure of purchase ledgers

-3+ years Debtors and Creditors

– Group system used is IFS (similar to SAP) so experience in this programme would be advantageous

07:45am-4:30pm Monday –Thursday

07:45am- 3pm on Friday

40 Hours per week
