A Battlefield 2042 player experienced an Only in Battlefield moment during a match of Breakthrough. The past year has seen Battlefield 2042 attempt to save grace following a catastrophic launch and while it has not dominated headlines, DICE’s efforts have not gone unnoticed by fans of the series.
Battlefield 2042 once had immense hype that only began to falter after an Open Beta that occurred a couple of months before release. The overwhelming consensus was that the game not only needed to be delayed but revamped systems should be reverted to their iconic Battlefield state.
But the concerns of players were not headed, and it was released as a broken, incomplete mess. Surprisingly, EA and DICE have stuck with Battlefield 2042 and the Year 1 content has provided a good foundation for the multiplayer shooter to find its stride.
