Abandoned Fetus found in dustbin

Abandoned Fetus found in a dustbin. At 15H15 Friday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a baby found in a dustbin on Von Brandis Street in Krugersdorp.

Reports from the scene indicate that a Fetus of approximately 26-weeks was found by a member of the public in a concrete dustbin.

Paramedics assessed the scene and found the fetus partially wrapped in a plastic bag. The patient was assessed and sadly showed no signs of life and tragically declared deceased at the scene.

Circumstances leading up to the fetus being dumped will be investigated by the relevant authorities. The SAPS, as well as the Metro Police, were on the scene.
